Dear {{Constituent First Name}},
Every month, I’m reminded how much Malashock Dance can do, thanks to our dancers, students, families, supporters, and community who share in the belief that dance can transform lives. This season has been full of both challenges and moments of deep inspiration, and through it all, our commitment to creating meaningful art and safe spaces for artists has only grown stronger.
This month our studios will be extra busy and full of creativity! Our company is in rehearsals for Seed, working with four San Diego based choreographers. Fall classes are thriving, and if you haven’t tried a dance class with us yet, try one for only $5 during our “$5 Frenzy” week! Our classes and performances reach far beyond the studio and encourage connection through this incredible art form.
Our “Don’t Let the Curtain Fall” fundraising campaign to save our Spring performance was matched by a generous patron of the arts, unlocking possibilities for our Company to bring it’s very best to San Diego audiences. If you haven’t donated yet, I hope you are inspired to help us reach our goal!
I hope this month’s newsletter gives you a glimpse of the vision that continues to move us forward. Your support makes every step possible. Thank you for being part of this journey!
With Gratitude,
Molly Glynn Puryear, Executive Director

We are SO CLOSE to our goal! Together we can save our Spring show!
This year, with severe cuts to federal, state, and local arts funding, our Spring Concert the centerpiece of our season is at risk. For nearly four decades, Malashock Dance has brought powerful, original performances to San Diego audiences…please don’t let the curtain fall.
Our ambitious goal was is to raise $35,000. We have extended the campaign until OCTOBER 10th because we believe we can meet our goal with your help!
Join us for any (or all) adult classes - each class is just $5. This annual Fall event is a great opportunity to try something new or to bring a friend or 2 with you!
Give the new classes on our schedule a try:
Contemporary Modern Fusion - Mondays 6:30pm
Intermediate Contemporary Modern - Tuesdays 7:00pm
